Quatre-vingt-dix ans. Quatre-vingt-dix stylos.
Le 5 mars 1936, le pilote d’essai Capitaine Joseph "Mutt" Summers fit décoller le prototype du Supermarine Spitfire, K5054, depuis la pelouse de l’aérodrome d’Eastleigh, dans le Hampshire. Ce qui suivit allait changer le cours de l’histoire. Conçu par R.J. Mitchell, propulsé par le moteur Rolls-Royce Merlin et instantanément reconnaissable à son aile elliptique, le Spitfire devint l’appareil qui contribua à remporter la Bataille d’Angleterre et demeure un symbole durable du grand savoir-faire britannique en ingénierie. Plus de 20 000 exemplaires furent construits entre 1938 et 1948.
Pour marquer le 90e anniversaire de ce vol inaugural, Conway Stewart a créé le Spitfire Pen : une édition limitée à seulement 90 exemplaires, chacun rendant hommage à cet appareil et à l’ingéniosité qui l’a fait naître.
Le stylo est réalisé en Spitfire Blue avec des garnitures en argent sterling, encadré par une tassie et un bout de corps bleu clair pour retrouver cet esprit classique propre à Conway Stewart. Un bouton en argent sterling serti au sommet du capuchon reprend la silhouette caractéristique du Spitfire en vol. La large bague du capuchon en argent sterling porte les poinçons britanniques attestant de sa qualité et de son authenticité, et une notice retraçant l’histoire du poinçonnage britannique est incluse avec chaque stylo.
Chaque stylo est numéroté individuellement et gravé sur le corps : "The Spitfire Pen, Limited Edition (#)/90, Made in England."
Tous les stylos-plume sont dotés de plumes Conway Stewart en or 18ct, plébiscitées par nos clients pour leur glisse d’une douceur incomparable. Disponibles en largeurs Extra Fine (EF), Fine (F), Moyenne (M) ou Large (B), en finition bicolore. Le roller est disponible avec une recharge bleue ou noire, en pointe Fine ou Moyenne.
Chaque stylo est présenté dans un authentique écrin Conway Stewart en similicuir noir, qui sert également d’élégant présentoir de bureau, accompagné d’un certificat d’authenticité précisant le numéro d’édition, du guide d’utilisation Conway Stewart et d’un chiffon de polissage anti-ternissement spécial pour conserver à votre stylo tout son éclat.

18ct GOLD CONWAY STEWART 2-TONE NIB
You may select one of our Conway Stewart 18ct gold nibs to be fitted to your fountain pen. They have been acclaimed by many of our customers for their ‘smooth-as-butter’ writing experience. Each nib is embossed with the Conway Stewart emblem.
FILLING MECHANISM
This pen has a dual filling system. It is fitted with a converter (reservoir) which allows the user to draw ink from a bottle or alternatively, you may remove the converter and use standard European ink cartridges. All our fountain pens come with 2 complimentary cartridges so you can start to use it immediately. If you prefer to use bottled ink, we recommend our own range of high quality ink, made in England and available in a range of colours.
